The Timbers is just east of Frankenmuth off I-75 at Birch Road.

The golf course is a scenic layout and setting and aptly named as the fairways are lined with tall timber. The layout meanders over relatively level land along natural borders and numerous doglegs with water features in play on half the holes and well bunkered fairways and greens. It was designed by Lorrie Viola and from the tips is 6,631 yards, 72.7/133, course/slope ratings with three shorter sets of tee boxes.
