The Tradition is north of Charlotte between I-85 and I-77 inside I-485 off Mallard Creek 20 minutes from downtown.

The routing is carved through the trees without homes or development along the holes. It's on rolling land with numerous elevated tees and raised greens, water hazards on over half the holes, and a modest amount of sand bunkers along the fairways and guarding the greens. From the back tees it's 6,978 yards, 72.6/140, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by John Cassell in 1996.
