Thousand Acres is on the east side of Deep Creek Lake in western Maryland at the Grantsville exit off I-68 then south about 20 minutes.

The course is part of a residential community and a challenging, parkland layout through isolated, tree lined fairways over rolling topography with views of the Appalachians and overlooking the southern portion of Deep Creek Lake There's multiple tees from 5,103 yards to 7,211 yards, the white tees are 6,278 yards, 69.9/126, course/slope ratings, designed by Craig Schreiner.
