Thousand Acres is on the east side of Deep Creek Lake in western Maryland at the Grantsville exit off I-68 then south about 20 minutes.

The course is part of a residential community with 9 holes currently and plans to add an additional nine holes. It is a challenging, parkland layout through isolated, tree lined fairways over rolling topography with views of the Appalachians and overlooking the southern portion of Deep Creek Lake, designed by Craig Schreiner.
