Thumper Pond Golf Course is between Otter Tail Lake and Buchanan Lake, about an hour south of Detroit Lakes on Rt 78.

The golf course is designed in a straightforward parkland style, with long and wide corridors of tree-lined fairways over a slight change in elevation and several water hazards. It was designed by Eric Niskanen. From the back tees, it plays to 6,610 yards, 72.3/130, course/slope ratings, with three shorter tees.
