Wilmington Municipal is owned and operated by the city and is located on the east side of town, just south of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.

It's a classic Donald Ross parkland design with mostly straightforward holes along slightly rolling, tree-lined fairways bordered by sandy waste areas with modest, raised greens well protected by the Ross style, deep-faced bunkers. It plays to 6,565 yards, 71.3/128, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tee boxes, restored by John Fought.
