Winding Brook is off the Taconic outside Valatie on Route 203, 20 miles south of Albany.

The course is a parkland-style design between the Berkshire and Catskill Mountains on a large 265-acre tract of land. It moves over rolling terrain along pine-tree-lined fairways with water features on half the holes and sand bunkers defending the greens and the occasional fairway. It's only 6,106 yards, 69.0/123, course/slope ratings from the tips, par of 70 with two shorter tees, designed by Paul Roth in 1962.
