Woodson Bend is just south of General Burnside and 20 minutes south of Somerset within a resort, residential community on a bend along the Cumberland.

The golf course is a traditional layout carved through deep forest with a mix of open and narrow, old-growth tree-lined fairways. There are four ponds in play and sand bunkers along the fairways' landing areas and defending the modest, oval, or kidney-shaped greens tucked into coves surrounded by trees. It's relatively short at only 6,052 yards from the back tees, 68.6/118 course and slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Lee Trevino and Dave Bennett.
