Woodson Bend is just south of General Burnside and 20 minutes south of Somerset within a resort, residential community on a bend along the Cumberland.

The golf course is a traditional layout carved through deep forest with a mix of open and narrow, old growth tree lined fairways. There's four ponds in play and sand bunkers along the fairways' landing areas and defending the modest, oval or kidney shaped greens tucked into coves surrounded by trees. It's relatively short at only 6,052 yards from the back tees, 68.6/118 course and slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Lee Trevino and Dave Bennett.
