Barker Brook Golf Club is 20 miles south of Rome on the west side of Oriskany Falls in a natural setting bounded by forests and fields.

The layout traverses hilly fairways defined by stands and scattered trees with several holes carved through the deep woods along narrow corridors. It terms of hazards, it's dotted with ponds on 10 holes overall and sand bunkers defend a few of the green complexes. It can play to 6,774 yards, 72.4/129, course/slope ratings off the back tees with three shorter tees, designed by Charles Miner.
