Price to Play $25 - $50 |
The McConnellsville Golf Club is 20 minutes northwest of Rome in Blossvale just northeast of Oneida Lake in the foothills of the Adirondacks.
The golf course is a classic, parkland layout winding along pine and maple, tree lined fairways over somewhat rolling terrain. There's minimal sand bunkers and water hazards in play as the course's main defenses are the narrow fairways and small, undulating greens in addition to a few blind shots offering compelling risk/reward opportunities. There's three sets of tees from 5,445 yards to 6,322 yards from the tips, 70.4/125, course/slope ratings. The course originated as a 9 holer in the 1940s with a donation by the Harden Family, a local furniture maker, the second nine was added in the late 1960s and designed by Pete Grygiel and Frank Clark.
