Black Bear is in the Crystal Springs Resort collection of courses in the Northern New Jersey mountains about an hour from the New York City area.

Black Bear is a hilly parkland style layout traversing narrow, forested fairways with water in play on three holes and 65 sand bunkers along the fairways and surrounding the greens. It can play to 6,673 yards, 72.2/130, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees, designed by Jack Kurlander & David Glenz in 1998.
