Black Squirrel is within a residential community on the southwest side of Goshen on Plymouth Avenue.

The golf course is a parkland design with a blend of narrow and broad, tree-lined fairways, water hazards on half the holes, and sand bunkers, mostly on the greenside. From the back tees, it's 6,516 yards. The White tees are a good test at 6,243 yards, 70.9/123, course/slope ratings, designed by Tom Zimmerman in the 1970s.
