Brown Deer Golf Course is a municipal golf course owned by the city of Coalville located just off I-80 at exit 242 to the north within an upscale, residential community.

The golf course is a parkland design with a relatively open front nine while the backside strolls along narrow, tree lined, hilly fairways. It's well bunkered throughout the fairways and greens with water hazards in various shapes and forms in play on twelve holes. It's a rather short layout at 6,315 yards from the tips, 71.0/126, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by William Spear.
