Calusa Lakes is in North Venice off I-75 at exit 92/Laurel Road to the north.

The routing is through an upscale residential development along pine and oak-tree lined fairways over slightly undulating terrain. There is water in play on the majority of the holes, 30 sand bunkers, mostly greenside, and generous contoured green complexes. There are multiple tees from 4,800 to 6,700 yards, the white tees play to 5,644 yards, 73.1/126, course/slope ratings, designed by Ted McAnlis.
