Chardon Lakes is east of Cleveland on I-271 on the south side of Chardon.

The golf course is a traditional, parkland layout with trees lining all the fairways, streams and ponds affecting play on over half the holes, and sand traps primarily positioned around mid-sized, undulating greens. There's four sets of tees from 4,875 yards to 6,775 yards, the Silver tees are 6,186 yards, 70.4/129 course/slope ratings. The original course was designed by Bert Way in the 1930s with another nine holes added in the early 1960s by Don Tincher and Carroll Bezler.
