Coyote Moon is located off I-80 at exit 184 to the north in a valley near the massive Tahoe Donner with views out over the surrounding Truckee area.

The layout marches through a natural setting with towering pines, granite outcroppings, and Trout Creek bordering the fairways. It's truly a shotmaker's layout where course management is rewarded over distance. The layout has wide open landing areas with only a few forced carries where approach shots funnel down to greens protected by trees, sand traps, and water hazards. It was designed by Brad Bell in 2000 and plays to 7,177 yards, 74.4/139, course/slope ratings from the tips with three shorter tees.
