Tahoe Donner is just off I-80 at exit 184 to the north in Truckee within a residential development.

The layout is a Certified Audubon Sanctuary and challenging as it moves along narrow, pine tree corridors over a significant change in elevation with the fairways and green complexes defended by a generous amount of sand traps. From the tips it's 7,002 yards, 74.1/134, course/slope ratings, with three shorter tee boxes, the front nine was designed by Roy Williams, the back by Billy Bell, and a redesign by Cary Bickler.
