Elk River Golf Club is about 40 minutes northwest of downtown Minneapolis in Elk River adjoining the Top of the World Park on the northwest side of town.

The golf course journeys along oak tree, lined fairways with some change in elevation providing a mix of interesting and varied holes. The greens tend to be small and elevated, so the short game is at a premium here as is keeping the tee ball in play with numerous doglegs and water in play on 11 holes overall. It plays 6,560 yards from the tips, 71.8/127 course and slope rating with three shorter sets of tees, designed by Willie Kidd in the early 1960s.
