Excelsior Springs is south of the Excelsior Springs Municipal Airport on the east side of town off Rt 10, 15 miles northeast of Kansas City.

The golf course is a classic layout winding over hilly terrain along generous, tree-lined fairways, mostly without homes in play or distractions save for the occasional airplane on approach. It features gentle doglegs, several water hazards, and a sparing use of sand bunkers. From the Blue tees, it's 6,553 Yards, 72.2/121 course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, originally designed by Tom Bendelow in 1915.
