Shoal Creek is off Barry and I-435 between 96th and Barry at Shoal Creek Parkway in northeast Kansas City.

The course was built on rolling land with a mix of wide open, links-like holes and those along tree lined fairways. It's a fairly hilly layout with most holes completely separate and unique with a moderate amount of sand bunkers and five water hazards on the back nine.
