Franconia is a municipal golf course on the south side of Springfield off Dwight Road tucked in between a couple of residential communities.

The layout is a classic from the 1920s and essentially a straightforward, New England parkland layout along tree lined fairways featuring water hazards on a several holes and small, quick greens guarded by sand traps. From the tips it's only 6,318 yards, par 70, 67.1/115, course/slope ratings, originally designed by Van Kleek and Stiles and updated by Dick Nugent in 2001.
