The Galena Golf Club is on the north side of Galena on US 20 surrounded by farmland and forests with a small grouping of homes bordering several fairways.

The golf course is a parkland layout over rolling terrain along generally broad fairways with scattered trees at the borders. There's an array of sand bunkers along the occasional fairway and defending most of the greens, but only two holes with water in play. There's four sets of tees with the tips playing to 6,571 yards, 71.5/116, course/slope ratings.
