The Galena Golf Club is on the north side of Galena on US 20. It is surrounded by farmland and forests, and a small grouping of homes borders several fairways.

The golf course is a parkland layout over rolling terrain, with generally broad fairways and scattered trees along the borders. There's an array of sand bunkers along the occasional fairway and defending most of the greens, but only two holes with water in play. There are four sets of tees with the tips playing to 6,571 yards, 71.5/116, course/slope ratings.
