Hanover is located in North Hanover Township 8 miles southwest of Six Flags Great Adventure in North Hanover Township.

It's parkland style layout with the fairways tree lined but generally open at the landing zones save for streams and ponds providing water in play on over half the holes. It's mostly straightforward along parallel fairways and the occasional slight dogleg with only 13 sand bunkers, but the ultimate challenge a 614 yard, par 5 finishing hole. The course is 6,525 yards from the black tees, 71.8/127, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, front nine designed by Kidder/Pondash and the back by Robert Trent Jones, Sr.
