Harbor Point GC is on the northwest side of Harbor Springs, carved out of a wooded tract of land just off Little Traverse Bay. It is a private club from mid-June 19 to early September, but open to public play in the shoulder seasons.

The layout ambles along fairways flanked by stands of evergreens and hardwoods with five holes carved through the deep woods in a scenic setting, providing views of Lake Michigan. The course provides a series of straightforward fairways and gentle doglegs with the landing zones and green complexes defended by a bevy of sand bunkers. It can play to a short, 5,826 yards, par of 71, 68.6/123, course/slope ratings off the Blue tees with three shorter tees, designed by David Foulis in the late 1800s.
