Laurel Ridge is on the west side of Waynesville, off US 74, at Eagles Nest Road, within a residential community.

The golf course is a classic mountain layout with varying degrees of elevation change. While there are several fairways bordered by residential units, the balance is through natural corridors of mature hardwoods and pines. The course features ponds and streams, sand and grass bunkers, doglegs left and right, uphill and downhill fairways, and a variety of green complexes. There's four sets of tees from 4,408 to 6,904 yards, the white tees are 6,093, 68.8/126, course/slope ratings, designed by Bob Cupp.
