Madera Municipal is halfway between Fresno and Merced just off the 99 Freeway at the Ave 17 exit to the west.

The layout is a parkland-style design with scattered trees lining all the fairways over level land with a generous amount of sand bunkers in play along in addition to water hazards on multiple holes. It's 6,831 yards from the tips, and from the middle tees it's 6,369 yards, 70.0/118, course/slope ratings, designed by Robert Dean Putnam.
