Mid Pines is just off Sandhills Blvd. at Midland to the west and part of the Pine Needles Resort.

The golf course is an original Donald Ross design built in 1921 and rambling through long leaf pine tree and sandy waste area lined fairways over the rolling terrain of the sand barrens. The greens tend to be modest in size, turtleback in form, and well defended by deep and flat sand bunkers and vast collection areas. The course plays to 6,723 yards, 71.0/126, course/slope ratings from the Blue tees with three shorter tees.
