Monarch Beach is south of Laguna Beach along the Pacific Coast Highway in Dana Point.

The golf course is a links-style design winding through an upscale, residential community along the PCH with rather open, undulating fairways. There's a liberal use of pure white, sand bunkers at the landing zones and defending the greens with multiple water hazards in play. The views from just about every hole are stunning, especially Holes 3 and 4 which abut the beach. It was designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr, and plays to an overall yardage of 6,645 yards, 72.5/135, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
