Pease Golf Course is on the south side of the Portsmouth Airport off I-95 at Exit 3 with three nine hole layouts along the western border of the airport.
They are challenging layouts winding along tree lined corridors with numerous doglegs, water hazards, sand bunkers, and modest greens. The original 18 holes plays to 6,346 yards, 70.1/120, course/slope ratings from the back tees with three shorter tees; the Blue nine plays to 3,227 yards from the back tees, 35.2/123.
The original nine holes were designed by Alex Findlay in 1901 as the Porstmouth County Club with an additional nine added in the 1920s by Ted Seavey. The club was acquired by the Air Force in the 1950s and changed to Pease, but reverted back to public with the base closures in the 1990s. Al Zikorus was responsible for some design changes in the 1950s, and most recently the Lower nine was added by Brad Booth.
