Sagamore Hampton is in North Hampton, about 30 minutes south of Portsmouth, off I-95 at exit 2 and then north along Post Road.

The golf course's layout is defined by tree-lined, rolling fairways and open meadows, with several ponds and a stream in play and a sprinkling of sand bunkers primarily around the modest, round, or kidney-shaped greens. It was designed by Christopher Luff and is short at only 6,057 yards from the back tees, par 71, 68.6/118, course/slope ratings, with two shorter tees.
