Pine Knob is a 27-hole layout located north of Detroit off 1-75 at Exit 89.

Pine Knob is located on the highest point in SE Michigan, with most of the holes journeying over rolling terrain along tree-lined fairways. Each nine has several holes with water in play and a moderate amount of sand bunkers along the fairways and at the sides of the greens. The Falcon, Hawk & Eagle nines, designed by Dan Pohl, play to the following yardages, slope, and course ratings for the various rotations from the tips with three shorter tees: Falcon/Eagle: 6,561 yards, 71.9/134, course/slope ratings; Eagle/Hawk: 6,332 yards, 70.5/129; Hawk/Falcon: 6,581 yards, 72.0/130
