Pinehills is located in Plymouth 30 miles southeast of Boston just off the Pilgrims Highway to the east at Clark Road with two 18 hole layouts within an upscale, residential community.
The Jones course is routed through the rolling sand dunes of the pinehills close to the Atlantic. There's ample elevation change here, a few forced carries over natural ravines, and an abundance of sugar white sand bunkers protecting the fairways and the generous, undulating greens. The course plays to 7,175 yards, 75.4/137, course/slope ratings from the back tees with four shorter tees, designed by Rees Jones.
The Nicklaus course meanders along the pine tree lined sandhills of coastal Massachusetts with moderate elevation change. There's several wetland/hazard areas but generally the broad fairways bordered by sand traps provide ample room of the tee. The greens are characterized by false fronts and are at times shallow and guarded by deep sand bunkers. The course measures 7,243 yards from the tips, Par 72, 75.2/135, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, designed by Jack Nicklaus II in 2008.
