Poolesville is a Montgomery County municipal golf course located 28 miles northwest of downtown D.C. off the River Road to the north just south of Poolesville.

The course meanders over 380 acres of rolling topography in the Potomac Valley of Southwest Montgomery County. The isolated fairway corridors are bordered by mature hardwoods with multiple water features in play and sand trap securing the greens and the occasional landing zone off the tee. The tips will play to 6,831 yards, 71.8/126, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, an original Ed Ault design with renovations by Al Jamison, Tom Clark, and James Cervone.
