Algonkian is a Loudon County Municipal golf course on the south side of the Potomac River off the Beltway to Route 7 west then to Cascades Parkway.

The front nine is straightforward over level terrain along wide-open, tree lined fairways while the back narrows over hilly terrain with water hazards in play on four holes, and more of a shotmaker's layout but a welcomed contrast to the front. From the tips it's 6,909 yards, 72.7/125, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees, designed by Ed Ault in the early 1960s.
