Purple Sage is a municipal golf course in Caldwell, about 30 minutes north of Boise. Take I-84 at exit 125 and then Old Highway 30 north to the course.

It's a mostly straightforward layout along parallel, tree-lined fairways with 20 sand bunkers and a few water hazards coming into play. It can play to 6,753 yards from the tips, 71.0/118, course/slope ratings with two shorter tees, designed by Vernon Macan.
