Redhawk is on the west side of Nampa on Iowa Avenue, just east of Lake Lowell.

The golf course is partially within a residential community with homes bordering several exterior holes. It's primarily a links-style layout over broad, mounded, and treeless fairways with tall prairie grasses at the margins. In addition to a large volume of sand bunkers and several water features, there's The Pit at the outset, which consists of six challenging and unique holes carved through a former rock quarry. The course was designed by Gene Bates and, from the tips, will play to 6,804 yards, 71.5/123 course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
