Red Wing Lake is a municipal layout east of the Oceana NAS just south of the Amphibious Base off General Booth to the east surrounded by forests and wetlands.

The golf course is a parkland layout carved through the woods with loblolly pine tree lined fairways over level terrain. While the fairways are broad and forgiving off the tee, but there's plenty of trouble here with numerous water hazards and well placed sand bunkers. It's an original George Cobb layout that has been updated over the years most recently by Kevin Tucker. From the tips it can play to 7,124 yards with a 128 slope, the white tees play to 6,133 yards, 69.7/117, course/slope ratings.
