River Ridge is in a residential community on the southeast side of Raleigh off I-40 at Jones Sausage exit 303.

The course is an entertaining layout over rolling hills and ravines along Goose Creek with wide, tree lined fairways and water in play on over half the holes. From the back tees it's 6,769 yards, 72.4/138, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees, designed by Chuck Smith in the late 1990s.
