River Ridge is in a residential community on the southeast side of Raleigh off I-40 at Jones Sausage exit 303.

The course is an entertaining layout over rolling hills and ravines along Goose Creek, with wide, tree-lined fairways and water in play on over half the holes. From the back tees, it's 6,769 yards, 72.4/138, course/slope ratings, and four shorter tees, designed by Chuck Smith in the late 1990s.
