Rock Spring is in Essex County in West Orange, off the I-280 at Northfield Ave to the west.

The golf course provides the unusual opportunity to play a public access Seth Raynor and Charles Banks design from 1925. It's routed over a rolling, parkland tract of land along fairways defined by mature hardwoods with Manhattan's skyline views throughout the round. It features several of Raynor's signature hole designs, including the Double Plateau, Bottle Hole, the Road Hole Green, a Redan, and several Cape-like holes. There are four sets of tees overall, with the White tees playing to 6,420 yards, 71.6/131, and course/slope ratings.
