Sequoyah National is owned by the Eastern Band of the Cherokee and located about an hour west of Asheville.

The layout is in a picturesque setting in the middle of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with views of the Clingmans Dome peak, the Snowbird Mountain range, and through the Thomas Valley. It's a pure mountain style layout with dramatic elevation change along tree lined fairways with several water hazards, but a generous amount strategically positioned sand bunkers along the landing zones and guarding the greens. There's four sets of tees overall with the tips playing to 6,246 yards, 71.3/139, course/slope ratings, designed by Robert Trent Jones II and Notah Be**** III.
