Shadow Lake is just east of Rochester in Penfield, off Atlantic Avenue to the south at Five Mile Line Road, with an 18-hole championship layout and a 9-hole executive course

The golf course is a parkland layout winding along narrow, old-growth, tree-lined fairways with water hazards in play on five holes and sand bunkers defending many of the greens and the occasional fairway. The main layout is a par 71 with three sets of tees, the blue/white tees play to 6,159 yards, 69.1/116, course/slope ratings, designed by Pete Craig.
