Shadow Ridge is located at the Marriott Shadow Ridge Resort off I-19 at the Monterey exit to the south.

The golf course is an interesting design modeled after the Australian Sandbelt Region courses like Royal Melbourne and Kingston Heath. The layout is somewhat unusual from other courses in Palm Springs in that the desert isn't really in play or view as it moves through wide ranging and mounded fairways with heavy bunkering and several water hazards playing to large, sloped and undulating greens. It's a Nick Faldo design and plays to 7,006 yards from the back tees, 73.7/135, course/slope ratings with four shorter tee boxes.
