Shadow Valley Golf Course is on the outskirts of Boise on the north side on ID 55 bordering a natural area.

The golf course is a relatively short yet challenging, parkland layout along tree lined fairways over a blend of level and rolling terrain with Spring Valley Creek cutting through the middle of the golf course. There's little in the way of sand bunkers which defend some of the greens and the Creek and one pond in play as hazards. It was designed by C. Edward Trout and it plays to 6,304 yards from the back tees, 69.8/127, course/slope ratings with three shorter tees.
