Silver Creek is in Waterloo, midway between Cayuga and Seneca Lakes on the south side of the Seneca River.

The layout is over fairly level land along tree-lined fairways, with Silver Creek and several ponds in play and sand bunkers guarding a few of the greens. The front side is a mild warm-up for a more engaging backside, which tends to be longer with narrow fairways. It was designed by Paul Perkins and, from the tips, is only 6,168 yards, 69.0/119, course/slope ratings, with three shorter tees.
