Silver Creek Plantation is off I-40 at exit 96/Kathy Road on the south side of the Interstate just a few miles west of Morganton and 30 minutes west of Hickory.

The course is within an upscale, residential community, bounding over rolling hills with views of the mountains in a scenic setting overall. The layout features numerous doglegs, multiple water features, and well-bunkered fairways and greens. It was designed by Tom Jackson in the mid-1990s and plays to 6,708 yards from the back tees, 73.1/144 course/slope ratings with four shorter sets of tees.
