Sleepy Hole is on the west side of Norfolk in Suffolk off I-664 to the west at the Nansemond River.

The golf course is a traditional, straightforward layout along the River in a scenic setting with tree lined fairways over level terrain. There's water hazards in play on multiple holes and it's well bunkered throughout the landing areas and defending the greens. It was designed originally by Russ Breeden in 1972 with a redesign by Tom Clark and plays to 7,007 yards, 74.4/138, course/slope ratings from the tips with four shorter tees.
