Stonehedges is located 20 minutes southwest of Cortland, just southeast of Groton, surrounded by farmland and forests.

The golf course is a most playable parkland layout on somewhat hilly land. It is straightforward, with water in play on six holes, but no sand bunkers, and small, oval greens. It plays to 6,396 yards, 71.7/122 course/slope ratings from the back tees with two shorter tees.
