Willowbrook is on the south side of Cortland off NY 13 to the east, surrounded by fields and forests.

The layout is a straightforward, parkland design along tree-lined fairways with Otter Creek traversing the middle of the layout, in addition to several ponds and modest, oval greens for targets. There are three sets of tees from 5,005 yards to 6,105 at the back tees, with 66.0/110 course/slope ratings, designed by Dick Timmerman.
