Tall Pines is on the southeast side of Friendsville carved through the woods over a large, tumbling tract of land.

The course lumbers along rolling fairways lined with pine trees and old growth hardwoods. The layout is generally straightforward save for several gentle doglegs with water features in play on five holes overall. It's a par of 70 and a short, 5,297 yards, 66.0/116, course/slope ratings off the back tees with three shorter tee boxes, designed by Ron Wilkins.
