The Grove is 20 minutes north of Winona, MN on the east side of Cochrane, WI hewn into a natural, hilly tract of land on a bluff along the east side of the Mississippi River on the Great River Road Scenic Byway.

The layout is a parkland design over rolling contours with a steam and ponds impacting play on several holes and scattered trees along the fairways. There's a few interesting doglegs and a modest amount of sand traps, otherwise it's generally straightforward. The layout was designed by Dr. Gordon Emerson with four sets of tees, the tips playing to 6,083 yards, 68.5/116, course/slope ratings.
