The Refuge is north of the Twin Cities off MN 65 at Sims Road NW.

The course is a traditional, northwoods style layout dominated by woods and wetlands in a natural setting on a 350 acre tract of land with each hole isolated and unique. The layout features numerous doglegs along tree lined fairways and multiple water features with sand bunkers along the fairways and greens. It was designed by Ken Norby in 2001 and from the back tees plays to 6,534 yards, 73.0/149, course/slope ratings with four shorter tees.
